Pioneer Women's Hall

In April, Salon des femmes volunteered, through the Scarfie Army, Otago Polytechnic, to clean the windows at the Pioneer Women's Hall. There were 'many windows to wash' (I now have Jimmy Cliff's 'Many rivers to cross' tune in my head!!), but many hands made light work so it was a great effort by the team. Well done ladies!

As a result of the window washing, Sara from the YWCA invited us to show works at the YWCA AGM in the Pioneer Women's hall on Friday, May 30th and we were open to the public the following day. We invited two friends, Jane Armour and Carol Bungard, to join us in the show. We spent a lovely Saturday in the hall making pikelets and chatting to friends, family and visitors. Some were lucky enough to join us for tea, coffee and pikelets with home made apple jelly and cream.
